ABC/Randy HolmesChester Bennington‘s autopsy and toxicology reports determined that the late Linkin Park singer was not under the influence of drugs at the time of his death, according to documents obtained by TMZ.
The gossip site previously reported that Bennington had small amounts of alcohol and ecstasy in his system when he took his own life on July 20, but has now clarified that the musician tested “presumptive positive” for the latter based on a blood test. The drug was not detected in two subsequent tests.
The report also officially confirms that Bennington’s cause of death was suicide by hanging.
