Credit: Steve KerosFlea is headed back to the big screen. The Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist has been cast in the upcoming film Boy Erased, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Boy Erased is about a son of a minister who’s forced into gay conversion therapy. The film stars Manchester by the Sea‘s Lucas Hedges as the son, and Nicole Kidman and Russell Crowe as his parents. It’s directed by Loving and Zero Dark Thirty actor Joel Edgerton.
Flea’s most recent role was in this summer’s Baby Driver, and he also appeared as himself in Terrence Malick‘s music-themed drama, Song to Song. The musician’s other film credits include roles in The Big Lebowski, Inside Out, and Back to the Future Part II.
