Members of Faith No More/Slayer project Dead Cross detained by police

Ipecac RecordingsMembers of the hardcore band Dead Cross, which features Faith No More‘s Mike Patton and ex-Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, were detained while on tour in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, August 15. According to a press release, the band has since been released from police custody after having their “gear searched” while being “restrained during the inspection.”

“The band members have been advised by legal counsel not to provide further comment on the incident,” the press statement reads. “More information is expected to be made available from authorities following arraignment.”

Lombardo also posted a photo on his Instagram of guitarist Michael Crain and bassist Justin Pearson sitting on the ground while in handcuffs. “This is happening and it’s not good. #jesuspolice #deadcross #criminals,” Lombardo wrote in the caption.

Dead Cross was touring in support of their self-titled debut album, which was released earlier this month. The tour will continue on as scheduled.
