Radiohead previews “OKNOTOK” box set with creepy unboxing video

XL RecordingsRadiohead has shared an unboxing video for the special edition version of their OKNOTOK OK Computer 20th anniversary reissue, and, in true Radiohead fashion, it’s extremely creepy.

The grainy clip stars the mysterious Chieftan Mews, a character used by Radiohead in their web broadcasts. “Hello, I’m Chieftan Mews. I’m unboxing,” he says in an eerie monotone. “I’m rigid with excitement.”

The OKNOTOK boxed edition includes a book of lyrics and never-before-seen artwork, a collection of Thom Yorke‘s notes taken during the OK Computer sessions, and a cassette mix tape featuring “session archives and demo tapes.” You can order it now via Radiohead’s website.

OKNOTOK, which features the previously unreleased tracks “I Promise,” “Lift” and “Man of War,” is out now digitally.
