Saint Asonia ventures into VR in “Fairy Tale” video

RCA RecordsIt’s been awhile since we’ve heard from Saint Asonia — the band featuring ex-Three Days Grace frontman Adam Gontier and Staind guitarist Mike Mushok — but the group has resurfaced to deliver a video for “Fairy Tale,” a track from their 2015 self-titled debut album.

The clip, streaming now on YouTube, finds a woman trying out a virtual reality headset. She’s transported to the wilderness and tasked with taking out a bunch of enemy soldiers, Rambo style, all while Saint Asonia rocks in the background.

Meanwhile, new Saint Asonia material is on the horizon. The band has been working on their sophomore album, and new music should arrive sometime this year.

Along with Gontier and Mushok, Saint Asonia features bassist Corey Lowery, brother of Sevendust guitarist Clint Lowery, and former Finger Eleven drummer Rich Beddoe.
