ABC/Randy HolmesIggy Pop stars in a new campaign video from animals rights organization PETA.
Soundtracked by the Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds song “Breathless,” the clip finds Pop’s dog daydreaming about the Godfather of Punk as an animated, animal-saving superhero who helps foxes avoid traps, turtles cross the road and dolphins escape from fishing nets.
“Nick Cave and Iggy Pop have left PETA breathless with this sweet video,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk in a statement. “If everyone acted like the people our dogs think we are and depend on us to be, the world would be a far kinder place.”
Other musicians who’ve lent their support to PETA include Blink-182, Paul McCartney, The Black Keys and Trent Reznor.
