Rise Against grabs top-10 “Billboard” 200 debut with “Wolves”

Virgin RecordsRise Against arrives in the top 10 of this week’s Billboard 200 with their new album, Wolves. The eighth studio effort from the Chicago punks debuts at number nine on the chart with 29,000 equivalent album units, 27,000 of which were pure album sales.

Wolves, which features lead single “The Violence,” is the fifth Rise Against album to reach the Billboard 200’s top 10, following 2014’s The Black Market, 2011’s Endgame, 2008’s Appeal to Reason and 2006’s The Sufferer & the Witness.

Rise Against is currently touring North America in support of Wolves on a co-headlining run with Deftones.
