Queens of the Stone Age hints at new music with cryptic video

Raphael Dias/Getty ImagesQueens of the Stone Age are keeping the build-up to their next album extremely cryptic, with a mysterious new video hinting at new music. The black-and-white clip shows Josh Homme and company working in the studio while a creepy voiceover repeats the word “gold” over and over.

The video comes with Queens of the Stone Age’s newly-revamped website, furthering speculation that a new album announcement is imminent. The interactive site features an old-timey TV set with a dial you can click, which brings you to different static-filled channels.

Back in April, Queens of the Stone Age uploaded an image to their social media that read “coming twenty five.” The meaning of that post has yet to be revealed.

Queens of the Stone Age’s most recent album is 2013’s …Like Clockwork.
