Queens of the Stone Age announce new, Mark Ronson-produced album, “Villains”

Chiaki Nozu/WireImageAfter several cryptic hints and teasers, Queens of the Stone Age have officially announced the title of their next album: Villains.

Villains will be produced Mark Ronson of “Uptown Funk” fame. Frontman Josh Homme and Ronson previously worked together on Lady Gaga‘s single “Perfect Illusion.”

The band made the announcement in a goofy video, during which Homme takes a polygraph test. The person administering the test asks Homme questions about the album, such as, “Is the new Queens of the Stone Age album entitled Villains?” to which he replies, “Nope.” The test then shows that Homme is lying.

Also in the video, you can hear a snippet of a Villains track called “Feet Don’t Fail Me.” At the end of the clip, Queens officially reveal that Villains is the new album’s title. “Honestly, the best album ever,” Homme declares.

“That’s true, actually,” says the polygraph tester.

Villains is Queens of the Stone Age’s follow-up to their 2013 album, …Like Clockwork.
