Korn confronts faceless demons in “Black Is the Soul” video

Roadrunner RecordsKorn has made quiet a few creepy music videos in their career, and the clip for their track “Black Is the Soul” is no different.

The eerie visual, which premiered on Noisey, shows the band performing in a black room filled with water while a faceless girl slowly walks toward them.

“‘Black Is the Soul’ is a song about being pulled away from the right path and the video reflects that experience of trying to navigate those conflicting emotions,” says frontman Jonathan Davis.

“I feel that this songwriting and production paired with the aesthetic look of the video shows a maturity and growth from the band that is continually evolving,” adds guitarist James “Munky Shaffer.

“Black Is the Soul” is a song from Korn’s latest album, The Serenity of Suffering. The band will be supporting the album this summer on The Serenity of Summer tour with Stone Sour, which kicks off June 16 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
