Courtesy of WBRIf you’re a My Chemical Romance fan who’s still not OK after last summer’s reunion fake-out, frontman Gerard Way says that it is possible that the band could get back together at some point.
“I wouldn’t count [a reunion] out,” Way tells Billboard. “But at the same time everybody’s doing stuff in their lives now that they’re really enjoying.”
“In some ways I don’t really miss it,” he admits. “It had gotten so big it was very unwieldy. It took a toll on my mental life and personal life. The thing I’m happiest about right now is everybody’s relationships with each other are really strong. That’s more important than anything else to me.”
Last July, a mysterious video appeared featuring the opening piano notes of MCR’s song “Welcome to the Black Parade.” While many fans thought that the clip was hinting at a reunion, it turned out that it was actually a teaser for a 10th anniversary reissue of the band’s 2006 album The Black Parade, which was released that September.
