Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” receives 30 per cent sales boost following “Billboard” Music Awards performance

Photo by John Shearer/Getty Images via ABCIt looks like a lot of people were impressed with Imagine Dragons‘ rendition of their new song “Believer” on the Billboard Music Awards earlier this month — around 71,000 people, in fact.

According to Billboard, sales of “Believer” increased by 30 per cent to 71,000 downloads during the week following Imagine Dragons’ performance on the May 21 awards show. That’s the best sales frame for “Believer” so far, and of all the tracks performed on the BBMAs, that song sold the most copies over the next week.

Also during the band’s appearance on the BBMAs, frontman Dan Reynolds gave a speech remembering the legacy of Chris Cornell.

“Believer” is the lead single from Imagine Dragons’ forthcoming third album Evolve, which will be released June 23.
