ABC/Travis BellThe organizers of BottleRock Napa Valley festival learned an important lesson over the weekend: you can’t stop the Foo.
Foo Fighters headlined the Napa, California festival on Sunday, but their set ended abruptly when the festival pulled the plug on Dave Grohl and company in the middle of their closing song, “Everlong.” According to the Bay Area’s The Mercury News, BottleRock has a strict 10 p.m. curfew, which Foo Fighters had reached before they were done rocking.
Luckily, the Foos were undeterred, and continued to play the song, sans power. The crowd has happy to help, and started singing along to the “Everlong” chorus. You can watch fan-shot footage of the incident now via YouTube.
Foo Fighters will spend the rest of their summer touring the European festival circuit. The band is also reportedly working on a new album.
