The Dead Weather’s Alison Mosshart on potential new album: “There’s never pressure”

But according to vocalist Alison Mosshart, the band — which also includes Queens of the Stone Age‘s Dean Fertita and Jack Lawrence of The Raconteurs — is ready to hit the studio again…just as soon as they have a spare minute.

“Dead Weather is a band where, the second we all find a day that we’re in town together, and we don’t wanna have to run off on tour, we’ll go into the studio and record something, because we love it,” Mosshart tells NME. “There’s never pressure, that’s the way it is.”

In the meantime, Mosshart is busy with a host of projects, including prepping a new acoustic EP with The Kills, while everyone else is similarly “tied up.”

“Dean is totally in Queens of the Stone Age land, they just finished a record,” Mosshart says. “Jack is doing his own thing.”

While The Dead Weather haven’t shared any new music since Dodge and Burn, they did release a live LP/DVD titled Live at the Mayan this year.
