Missio premieres acoustic version of “Middle Fingers”

RCA RecordsIf you prefer your anarchy unplugged, then Missio is here for you. The Austin duo has shared an acoustic version of their breakout single “Middle Fingers,” which you can listen to now on YouTube.

For the acoustic take on the track, lead vocalist Matthew Brue sits at a piano and crisply delivers lyrics like “I used to drink whiskey, now I’m stuck with Perrier.” The track isn’t completely unplugged, though — Brue’s bandmate David Butler plays a low-level synth to give the performance some sinister vibes.

“Middle Fingers” is the lead single from Missio’s debut album Loner, which will be released May 19. The band will be performing on Conan on Wednesday, May 24.
