Nothing But Thieves details sophomore album, “Broken Machine”; listen to new track “Amsterdam” now

ABC/Randy HolmesBritish rockers Nothing But Thieves will return with their sophomore record this fall. The album is titled Broken Machines, and will be released September 8.

For your first preview of Broken Machines, you can listen to the new track “Amsterdam,” which is streaming now on YouTube.

“[‘Amsterdam’] was inspired by our love of direct, guttural choruses,” the band says in a statement. “It’s like [frontman] Conor [Mason] is spitting the words in your face. It’s visceral and has momentum but also this beautiful moment in the middle which feels like a break in a sea storm.”

Broken Machines is the follow-up to Nothing But Thieves’ self-titled debut album, which boasts the number-one Billboard Alternative Songs hit, “Trip Switch.”
