ABC/Randy HolmesKorn‘s South American tour with 12-year-old Tye Trujillo on bass concluded over the weekend in Lima, Peru. To celebrate the end of the tour, Tye’s father, Metallica‘s Robert Trujillo, joined his son on stage to jam on Korn’s track, “Blind.”
Drummer Ray Luzier posted a video of the father-and-son moment on his Instagram. “What a rad moment! Father & son jamming together with us last night!” he wrote in the caption.
Tye joined Korn’s South American tour in place of bassist Reginald “Fieldy” Arvizu, who can’t make the trip due to “unforeseen circumstances.” Fieldy will rejoin the band this weekend for their set at the Carolina Rebellion festival.
In less happy Korn news, the band has announced they’ll be postponing a series of headlining dates scheduled for this month, again citing “unforeseen circumstances.” They’ll still be playing the Carolina Rebellion, Poinfest and Rock on the Range festivals, but the rest of their May tour dates will be rescheduled.
