Incubus makes top-five “Billboard” 200 debut with “8”

Island RecordsIncubus‘ new album 8 has debuted in the top five on the Billboard 200. The eighth full-length effort from Brandon Boyd and company arrives on the chart at number four with a total of 52,000 equivalent album units, 49,000 of which were pure album sales.

8, which features the lead single “Nimble Bastard,” is the sixth Incubus album to reach the top five on the Billboard 200, following 2001’s Morning View, 2004’s A Crow Left of the Murder, 2006’s Light Grenades, 2011’s If Not Now, When?, and the 2009 greatest hits compilation Monuments and Melodies. Light Grenades is the only Incubus record to debut at number one on the chart.

Incubus will be touring North America this summer in support of 8 alongside Jimmy Eat World.
