Incubus headed for top-10 debut on “Billboard 200” with “8”

Island RecordsIncubus‘ new album 8 is on course for a top-10 debut on the Billboard 200.

The magazine predicts that the band’s eighth full-length studio effort will move between 55,000 and 60,000 equivalent album units during its first week in stores.

If the forecast holds true, then 8 will be Incubus’ seventh top-10 release on the Billboard 200. The band reached number one on the chart once, with their 2006 album Light Grenades.

8 features the lead single “Nimble Bastard.” Incubus will be touring North America this summer in support of the album alongside Jimmy Eat World.
