As with the previous nine events, the list of releases for this year’s Record Store Day is stuffed with exclusive vinyl from a variety of rock bands, including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Avenged Sevenfold and The Lumineers.
Red Hot Chili Peppers are contributing a 12-inch picture disc featuring live performances of the tracks “Go Robot” and “Dreams of a Samurai,” both songs from the band’s new album The Getaway.
Avenged Sevenfold will be releasing a two-LP picture disc edition of their 2003 sophomore album Waking the Fallen.
The Lumineers are offering a 10-inch record called Song Seeds featuring demos, or “seeds,” of the Cleopatra tracks “Angela” and “Long Way from Home.”
Additionally, Jack White‘s Third Man Records will be celebrating Record Store Day in its Nashville and Detroit stores with exclusive pieces, including White’s new single “Battle Cry” on gold-colored vinyl.
Other artists releasing discs for Record Store Day include Against Me!, Alice in Chains, David Bowie, Bullet for My Valentine, Coheed and Cambria, Halestorm, Dave Matthews Band, Grouplove, The Head and the Heart, Jane’s Addiction, Motorhead, The Offspring, Jimmy Page & The Black Crowes, Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd, Iggy Pop, The Ramones, Spoon, Sublime, U2 and Gerard Way.
