Gorillaz books appearance on “The Late Show”

Image courtesy GorillazGorillaz will be celebrating the release of their new album Humanz next week with an appearance on The Late Show. Damon Albarn and company will perform on the show next Thursday, April 27.

There’s no word on which song Gorillaz will be playing since according to a press release, the performance will feature “several special guests.” Some of the guests who appear on Humanz include Jehnny Beth of Savages, rappers Vince Staples and Danny Brown, gospel legend Mavis Staples and ’80s icon Grace Jones.

Along with the Late Show appearance, Gorillaz will be playing an intimate concert at the Rough Trade NYC record store in Brooklyn on Tuesday, April 25. You can get tickets to the show by going to the store this Tuesday and pre-ordering Humanz.

Humanz will be released April 28, but might be able get a sneak peek at the album this weekend through the Gorillaz app, depending on where you live. If you go to certain locations, such as Bryant Park in New York City or Silver Lake Meadow in Los Angeles, you can listen to Humanz on a continuous loop. Gorillaz will embark on a full-length North American tour in support of Humanz this summer starting July 8 in Chicago.
